Christmas Secret
The Christmas Secret by Donna VanLiere - I started reading yesterday, it was such a sweet little story I couldn't put it down. Everyone in the book had some kind of Christmas secret to keep. This is a perfect Holiday book to treat yourself to or a friend, it will give you the warm fuzzies as you read about the struggling single Mom, Christy who struggles with all of her relationships and bad choices she made in life. Donna VanLiere spun the perfect Christmas secret to all as some of the players lives spun at times with each other. Christy, Jason, The Bat Lady, the children , the grandmother all have their story to tell and their secrets too.
I usually like spy novels or happy comedies and mushy not sexy romances and don't usually pick books that can move me too deeply. I have to say this story did move me. At one point I felt that inner feeling that I could actually cry- but it wasn't overwhelming and I could continue. The story told of how Christy's husband Brad began to demean her before friends shortly before marriage she married him anyway but it didn't last. The story spoke of how Jason had to learn the actual names of people so he just didn't see them as a person but as a someone, A practice we should all begin to develop. To me personally, it made me see the value in everyone and the people though fiction in this book resembled the someones you and I see everyday over the Holidays. A happy ending and a book that I will remember for years and cherish. A definite must read for all and a perfect Holiday gift. Ruthie says thumbs up!
This is my very first blog on Vox. I am kind of playing around, learning all the tools and what vox has to offer me. I can add a photo- as I just did...I can add a video...which I will try now...I can putl books from amazon to get their picture and do collections...which I have to double check what that is and do embed codes More can be done ...but I just wanted to check and see what could be done. Looking forward to getting to know the other people on vox.
